1. Counting Numbers

  • Counting numbers are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5…

  • These are also called natural numbers.

  • Example: Count objects in the picture: 🍎🍎🍎 → 3 apples


2. Writing Numbers

  • Learn to write numbers 1 to 100.

  • Practice writing in rows for better understanding.

Example:

  • 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 … 10

  • 11, 12, 13, 14 … 20


3. Before, After, Between Numbers

  • Before: Number just before a given number

  • After: Number just after a given number

  • Between: Number that comes in the middle

Example:

  • Before 5 → 4

  • After 7 → 8

  • Between 2 and 4 → 3


4. Comparing Numbers

  • Symbols:

    • > → Greater than

    • < → Less than

    • = → Equal to

Example:

  • 7 > 5

  • 3 < 6

  • 4 = 4


5. Even and Odd Numbers

  • Even Numbers: Can be divided by 2 → 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 …

  • Odd Numbers: Cannot be divided by 2 → 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 …

Example:

  • 12 → Even

  • 9 → Odd


6. Number Names

Example:

  • Write 7 → Seven

7. Addition (Small Numbers)

  • Adding two numbers: Combine objects and count total

Example 1:

    Answer: 5

Example 2:

  • 4 + 3 = ?

  • 🍌🍌🍌🍌 + 🍌🍌🍌 → 7
    Answer: 7


8. Subtraction (Small Numbers)

  • Subtracting: Remove objects from a group

Example 1:

  • 5 – 2 = ?

    Answer: 3

Example 2:

  • 6 – 4 = ?
